2009-06-25 - Co-Extra Final Conference, Paris, France - Experts summarize their results for tracing and detecting GMOs For the last four years over 200 experts in 51 institutes from 18 countries joined efforts within the European Co-Extra (Coexistence and Tracability) program and evaluated procedures and solutions related to the coexistence of genetically modified (GM) and non-GM products. Tools for the traceability of raw and processed material as well as the detection and sampling of test matrices were developed. Besides technical and scientific questions, economic aspects of the co-existing GM and non-GM product supply chains were discussed. Eppendorf Biochip Systems was one of the Co-Extra members and joined the final conference from June 2nd - 5th 2009 in Paris, France. Audio conference impressions were provided by Deutschlandradio in a special feature of "Forschung aktuell" and can be found below (in german language).
